AYR Cannabis Dispensary, a cannabis retail chain owned by U.S. multi-state cannabis operator AYR Wellness Inc., recently opened a retail store in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 22. Another retail location in the state is set to open in early September in Palm Beach Gardens.

The openings of the Jacksonville-Dunn and Palm Beach Gardens stores will expand AYR’s retail presence to 66 locations in the state of Florida and 96 locations nationwide, the company states.

“Our new Jacksonville-Dunn location has seen a robust start, with strong sales that reflect the enthusiastic reception from the local community,” says Florida AYR SVP and general manager Sevi Borrelli. “Our team is thrilled to engage with patients in Jacksonville and is committed to being a key partner in the medical cannabis journey of our patient base.”

AYR Settles Into Florida’s Rapidly Expanding Cannabis Market

The Jacksonville-Dunn location, situated at 1319 Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32218, is a 2,808-square-foot retail storefront with ample parking space, five point-of-sale stations and drive-thru service. The Palm Beach Gardens location, situated at 12300 Alternate A1A, Ste #117-120, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410, is a 3,638 square-foot storefront venue conveniently located in the heart of scenic Palm Beach Gardens, near Gardens Mall and the PGA Business Corridor, according to the company.

“The medical cannabis market in Florida continues to expand rapidly, and AYR is dedicated to maintaining our leadership position by delivering exceptional service and making high-quality, accessible medication available across the Sunshine State,” Borrelli notes.

AYR doesn’t plan on stopping here. Having launched 17 new locations in the past two years across the nation, Borrelli says the company plans on continuing to grow and expand its reach.

“AYR is committed to expanding our already significant retail presence, with a target of reaching 70 retail locations by the end of this year, and we have ambitious plans to continue this momentum into 2025. In the event that adult-use is passed via Issue 3 this fall, we plan to accelerate our store opening plan,” Borrelli states.

AYR is also planning on hosting a grand opening at its Jacksonville-Dunn location, with details soon to follow.
