Happy Flower is shaking things up with a twist on their beverages. Previously sold as a CBD canned cocktail, the brand is now making their second debut as a THC canned beverage.
Boasting 5mg of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC per can, Happy Flower decided to switch to THC due to changing consumer sentiment around functional beverages.
“We saw the right opportunity to launch Alternative Beverages, a new separate division of Tilray Brands (parent company for Happy Flower) dedicated to non-alcohol beverage innovation,” says a Tilray spokesperson. “With our new dedicated beverage division, we thought Happy Flower would be the right brand to launch hemp-derived delta-9 THC drinks where regulations allow — a move that aligns with market trends and consumer preferences.”
Happy Flower Cocktails
Containing no alcohol, each Happy Flower flavor offers a twist on classic cocktails: Margarita, Peach Bellini and Strawberry Daiquiri. The cans retail for $19.49 per 4-pack and can be purchased in select stores in Texas and Louisiana, as well as through the brand’s website.
The Tilray spokesperson also states that the brand will soon be launching through traditional BevAlc channels, including liquor, convenience and grocery channels.
Happy Flower is only one of the many brands taking advantage of the booming alternative beverages market. And the growth isn’t expected to stop anytime soon.
“While THC drinks are still in their earlier stages, the potential for growth in the THC beverage industry is abundant,” says the Tilray spokesperson. “We’ve seen a surge in the popularity of non-alcoholic and functional cocktail alternatives with more exploration of damp and dry lifestyles, particularly among 21+ Gen Z consumers.”
